Home is not only a place from the past—it can be reframed, redefined, and lived in anew.
"Memory Reframed" is a 35-ping renovation project of a 20-year-old apartment, transformed for a young couple who once spent their childhood here. The design honors their past while crafting a fresh narrative for their present and future life.
Originally a four-bedroom layout, the space was reimagined by removing a room and opening up the kitchen, creating a seamless and airy flow between the kitchen, dining, and living areas. A generous 10-person dining table anchors the space, doubling as a co-working zone that effortlessly blends function with warmth.
A rotatable TV stand provides flexibility, pivoting between the lounge and dining area, while black magnetic laminate walls invite spontaneous doodles, notes, and playful interactions—breathing life into every corner.
Material-wise, the combination of stained wood veneers, concrete-textured finishes, and stone-patterned hex tiles gives the home a grounded, modern tone with a subtle literary elegance. The curved wooden ceiling detail adds softness and rhythm to the overall space.
This is more than just a renovation—it is a tribute to memory and a design that gently carries it forward into a new chapter.
