In this 66-square-meter newly built home, a young couple lives with their two children, envisioning a space that is open, bright, warm, and child-friendly — a space that breaks away from conventional layouts.
The centerpiece of this design is the bold decision to eliminate the traditional living room sofa. Instead, a large wooden dining table takes center stage, connecting the living and dining areas. This multifunctional surface encourages family interaction, whether it's for dining, reading, studying, or playing together.
Following the couple’s love for Scandinavian minimalism, the space is styled with soft wood tones, indoor greenery, and plenty of natural light. Minimalist lighting and furnishings keep the visual weight light, enhancing the overall sense of spaciousness.
Between the open kitchen and living area, a custom wooden shelving unit acts as a semi-partition — functional for storage and display, yet open enough to maintain visual flow.
Next to the full-height windows, a cozy reading nook and low storage cabinets create a peaceful corner where the children can read under the sunlight or simply play freely.
Here, design is not only about aesthetics, but about shaping a lifestyle. Through thoughtful simplicity and open space, this home offers the family freedom to grow, connect, and create lasting memories.
